Scott Radian Fly Rods

The Scott Radian fly rod would have to be about as close to perfect as a fly rod can get. That’s not just some sales talk, its 100% true. Since its release, the Radian has become one of our best selling #5 and #6 weight trout fly rod, and customers who have purchased them just love them!  The fly rod designing wizards at Scott fly rod Company have somehow created a fly rod that can generate heaps of line speed and recover quickly back to straight without any wobble, yet without being stiff. It loads deeply but is still controlled and tracks as straight as an arrow. The Radian’s soft tip allows it to load up with minimal fly line for those close to medium casts, which realistically is where 90% of fish are caught. Surprisingly the Scott Radian excels at long distances as well, and the 6 weight makes a tremendous lake rod which has you covered for the gnarliest conditions you may encounter. The 9ft #5 would have to be one of the finest all-round fly rods for Tasmania, Victoria or New Zealand.

 

When I first laid eyes on the Scott Radian, I decided then an there that I was going to buy myself one based on aesthetics alone. It is absolutely gorgeous, just like all Scott fly rods. Un-sanded rod blank, the finest cork available, hand-written calligraphy, silver and orange trim…..I mean, what more could you want?
